Hook-nosed Sea Snake is one of the commonest Sea Snake found in all coasts of Indian mainland and other South-east Asian countries. It can be identified by checking indistinct bands on light ground color and beak shaped snout which is not found in other Sea Snakes of its range. This is also the most commonly encountered Sea Snake during fishing activities and often causes bites to fishermen.
